PokiPaw Reminders Not Showing? Android and iPhone Checks

A missing reminder can come from the record, the app settings or the phone. Work through them in that order and test on the device you actually use for pet care.

Check the record and app category

Confirm the correct pet, a future date or active treatment period, and the expected reminder time. Open PokiPaw’s notification settings and check that the relevant category is enabled. Review quiet hours: they can shift when a reminder is scheduled. Labels can vary by app language and version.

Try the app’s test notification

The notification screen includes a testing section with a delayed test. Send one, then check whether an alert appears on your phone. A successful test checks one route; it does not prove every future treatment reminder is scheduled correctly. If the test is absent, investigate phone permissions before repeatedly editing the treatment.

On Android

Open the phone’s settings, find PokiPaw under apps, and inspect notifications and available categories or channels. Allow the alerts you need. Consult your device maker’s guidance if power-saving settings restrict the app. Menu names differ between Android devices.

Delivery may be delayed by system scheduling. Do not treat the reminder as a guaranteed alarm at an exact second, and do not disable unrelated security protections to troubleshoot it.

On iPhone

In Settings, find PokiPaw’s notification controls and check permission and presentation options. Review Focus modes and scheduled notification delivery if alerts are being silenced or grouped. Apple documents these settings; their location can vary by iOS version.

Retest and save useful details

Repeat a test after each relevant change. If the issue remains, record the app version, phone model, OS version, intended time and what you observed. Exclude private medical documents from a general support screenshot.

What about an important medication? Follow the veterinarian’s schedule and keep an independent care plan while investigating. A notification is not proof that a dose was administered.
